Our names are Weslei & Carolina Scheffel, co-founders of Maruwá Villas, a vacation rental company that was born in the heart of Germany in Berlin during the pandemic and war in Ukraine, when we decided to move to Brazil.

Our journey began with the dream of living abroad and having a vacation home in our homeland to enjoy with family and friends, but the nightmare of seeing your assets become a huge liability, and the fact that these owner stories are repeated hundreds of thousands of times every month, made us postpone this dream and continue our tireless search for knowledge.

We read countless books on finance and investments, and even took a master's course on ROI in the real estate market with Alterschool in Madrid, the largest vacation rental school in Europe. We wanted at all costs to eliminate the risk of an unsuccessful business and the pain of failure, until, little by little, what was fear began to turn into opportunity and life purpose - to share our journey and help other owners who suffer from it.

During our last vacation trip to Brazil, we saw and compared with Europe many things that work and many things that don't work in the vacation rental business, so we took years of international tourism expertise, financial knowledge and multicultural background (history, architecture, language, cuisine of other countries) and turned it into a professional, organized form of property management and we want to show this to you.

Today, Maruwá Villas helps owners of one or more properties who don't know what to do with their vacation home, as well as hosts who have already started renting on their own, but haven't had satisfactory results and/or have had bad experiences due to a lack of knowledge in the market, to manage, monetize and take care of their assets with techniques tested and approved by the world's largest vacation rental agencies, transforming what was once a liability into an asset.
